Dr. Dennis Miller graduated from Hope College with a Bachelor's degree. He then proceeded onto dental school and attended the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry and graduated from there in 1978. After graduation he served as a dentist in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He began his work in private practice in 1982 in Albion, Michigan. Dr. Miller is very passionate about continuing education so he can treat and care for his patients. He was awarded his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in July of 1993 which symbolizes having over 500 hours of post-doctorate education and passing an extensive exam. In March of 1997 Dr. Miller was awarded his Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry which is given with over 1,100 hours of post-doctorate education. There are fewer than 1,200 dentists in the entire country that have this prestigious award and only a handful in Michigan. Fewer than 1% of general dentists have achieved this award. Dr. Miller was awarded Hour Magazine Top Dentists for 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Dr. Courtney Miller-Reid was born in Germany while her father, Dr. Dennis Miller was stationed there. While growing up she lived in Farmington Hills and West Bloomfield. She graduated from Birmingham Groves High School in 2000 and was then accepted as 1 of 4 people into the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry accelerated 6 year program. After this 6 year program she was awarded her Bachelor's of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Upon graduation, Dr. Miller-Reid was 1 of 6 people to be awarded the Francis B. Veddar Society award in Crown and Bridge. Dr. Miller-Reid is currently involved in an Endodontic Study Club which focuses on root canal therapy. Dr. Miller-Reid was awarded a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in May of 2012 which acknowledges her post-doctorate training in the field of implant dentistry. Dr. Miller-Reid was awarded her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry which symbolizes having taken over 500 hours of post-doctorate training and passing an extensive licensing exam. Dr. Miller-Reid was awarded Hour Magazine Top Dentists for 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Dr. Nicholas Reid was raised in Livonia, Michigan. He graduated high school in 1998 from Detroit Catholic Central. He attended Alma College in Alma, Mi for two years before transferring to the University of Detroit-Mercy. He graduated magna cum laude from Detroit-Mercy with a Bachelor's Degree in Science. He was selected to be the honorary banner carrier for the College of Engineering and Science on graduation day. He met his wife, Dr. Courtney Miller-Reid upon attending dental school at the University of Detroit-Mercy. Dr. Reid is also involved in the same Endodontic Study Club as his wife which focuses on all aspects of root canal therapy.
